As previously mentioned, my holidays (food-wise) are all about snacks, cookies, and booze.
I’ve shown you snacks, I’ve shown you cookies, now let’s get to the booze.
This cocktail is simple, refreshing, and delicious.
It’s also a great way to spoil yourself when you’re bitter about watching Syracuse basketball games from your television instead of at the dome. Which is exactly what we did!
Joe made this, as he is the bartender to my cook, but I will say that I found the “recipe” and therefore can blog it (like my logic?).
It’s an adaptation from Emeril Lagasse’s poinsettia cocktail and one that is sure to please a crowd should you find yourself entertaining this month, just look at the reviews on the Food Network website.
For 3-4 cocktails (easily multiplied for more!)
- 1 cup vodka
- 1 cup champagne
- 2 cup pomegranate-cranberry juice
- orange zest, cut into strips
Combine the vodka, champagne, and juice. Serve over ice and twist the zest strip into the glass before placing into the drink for garnish (you really can taste the orange!).
Is vodka not your thing? We also recently made these whiskey cocktails. Equally delicious!
